This is not a picture of me.First of all I just want to let you know that I am not a geek. Everything on this page that has to do with books, or anything else besides horses, roping and ranching...Then it is for school because this was a school assignment.
Well anyway this rodeo season was great. I roped in many rodeos and I wasn't doing so well. but I kept practicing anyway. I was sitting on the couch when the phone rang and my mom answered. "she was like uh huh, ya I am sure that she would love to, okay bye." I thought, oh crap someone else needs a babysitter. To my surprise my mom was like" that was Kasey K's mom and she wanted to know if you want to team rope with Kasey at the Randolph rodeo. I was so excited because I thought that Kasey was the best in the land. So immediately I went outside to start practicing. Finally the day came and we loaded up the horses and headed to Randolph. We got there and I started to saddle my horse. My mom went and payed my entry fees. She came back and told me when I was up. I was so excited, not nervous but excited. So I watched the goat tying, poles, and the steer riding when they announced that team ropers need to get ready. I built my loop and tucked it under my arm. Me and Kasey went into the arena and I backed into the box. As soon as I was ready I looked over at Kasey who was smiling to let me know that she was ready. I tightened my grip on the reins and nodded my head. I caught the horns, dallied and turned to try and give Kasey a good shot. She scooped up two feet and dallied. As soon as we both undallied we immediately did something that only the ropers understand... looked at the barrier. We hadn't broke it and we ended up wining the team roping. Next was the breakaway. I was watching the calves come out of the box and I noticed that they had never been out of the box before. I watched some people rope and then watched Landon C. rope who is a total hottie and of course he did great. I knew that it was my turn. I backed up into the box and nodded my head. Because of watching the calves come out earlier I knew that I had to let him get almost completely out of the box before I could go. When he got out of the box he took a hard left... straight into the pickup man. After I got out of that mess I took of after the calf. I roped him and then pulled my slack and stopped. I ended up placing second which was good. I was still excited. I ended up winning about sixty dollars. This was probably my best rodeo ever. Then the best thing happened.. I was done with all of my events and I was just sitting there watching the rest of my family compete. I was just sitting there twirling my loop for fun and the hottest guy walked up and grabbed my leg. It was Chase A. He scared me. He came over to tell me that I did a good job and we just sat there and talked until he had to go. After the rodeo was over I was standing over by one of the sheds to waiting to get my check and Landon walked over. We started talking just like old friends. It was great. I was standing all by myself and then Landon showed up.Ha Ha. It was pretty much the best rodeo EVER!
